The central skylights add natural light, while wide-plank, hand-scraped white oak flooring balances the strong vertical lines of millwork and structural columns. Removal of interior walls accommodated the new, open layout, which necessitated extensive structural upgrades and addition of long-span beams. There is booth seating closest to the actual workspace with a marble tabletop and small scale chandelier to create continuity with main cooking area and back-lit upper display cabinets enhance dramatic European styling.
